The FTF-USAID GHANA ATT PROJECT (hereinafter called the "Employer") intends to commit part of its Grant Facility towards the renovation of the seed cold room in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana. CSIR-Crop Research Institute (CSIR-CRI) (hereinafter called the “Client"), the main beneficiaries of this intervention expressed their wish to have the CRI's cold storage facility renovated so that larger quantities of improved maize, rice and soybean seed varieties adapted to Ghana's northern agro ecological zones can be produced, stored and distributed at the right time in the right quantities. Farmers in northern Ghana who are the hardest hit by climate change will also get the opportunity of planting drought and Striga tolerant varieties produced by CRI. Hence, ATT is willing to support this intervention that will lead to increased productivity and profit margins for agricultural producers in Northern Ghana.
