The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) was established in 1998 and commissioned in 2004 by the Government of Ghana with the mandate to train military, police, and civilian personnel for multidimensional Peace Support Operations (PSO) in Africa. In doing so, the KAIPTC has emerged as a major regional and continental peace and security actor that delivers regional need-based training courses to equip the personnel with the requisite skills and competencies to respond to complex peace and security challenges in West Africa, and Africa, as a whole.
