The Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX) Project is an initiative which aims, when established, to guarantee buyers of agricultural commodities of the minimum quality, weight and prompt delivery of their purchases through a Warehouse Receipts System (WRS) which is a key component of the Commodity Exchange. The GCX and its associated Warehouse Receipt System are expected to reduce post-harvest losses and create a transparent, orderly commodity market for Ghana among other things.
